The Day Starts by Alma Seitsara

The day starts swiftly
from jumping out of bed to hurriedly brushing my teeth to gulping down cereal.
I look at the clock, half an hour left.
Oh, so there was no hurry yet.
Walking to my wardrobe I eye on the clothing.
What should I wear? Nothing feels like a good option.
Oh god, this isn’t working, I’m gonna have a crisis.
Lost in my thought not hearing a tic, the clock goes on without me.
I turn my gaze at that heartless plate up on the wall, making me panic without a care in the world.
It appears I’m late, ahh shit here we go again.
