Rapunzel, let down your hair

rapunzel, let down your hair,

so that i may descend thy golden stair.

rapunzel, there is something in the air,

i will be back soon, i swear.

i shouldn't think of you every time i go through the forest,

sit on the throne of moss and listen to the album when

i didn't know you when i bought it,

and you didn’t want to know me by the time i pressed play again.

i’m not asking the petals about you,

they don't echo my state clichéd.

you're someone i never knew,

the former sounds more august, i'm afraid.

almost tripped running down the stairs,

such sweet parting in my sparkling gown.

it’s a match!

that burned your house down.

my hand slipped drawing the string

when i went to hit the target.

left with a bruised heart,

i hid it in my cloak, staining it scarlet.

there is rhyme,

but what about reason?

i search for footprints,

in this path unbeaten.

i’m too weak to carry a torch,

all i can hold is my ground.

head in the clouds, off with it,

what they call the queen of wonderland i've never found.

is there a moral at the end of the chapter,

or is snow white lost in the woods for evermore?

if i left after all these speeches,

would i freeze to death at the castle door?

the wisest of seven,

leave your quill where it was found.

end of the tunnel tales,

light, hearts weigh me down.

falesia, lady of

ringlorne and dreams torn,

begonias unyielding,

i slip climbing this tower made of stone.

rapunzel, let down your hair,

so that i may climb thy golden stair.

rapunzel, there was nothing there,

just my soul laid bare.
