The Force Awakens... Or Does It??
Nowadays, I find myself awkwardly having to confess to people that “I’m not really a Star Wars fan…” But when a good friend of mine bought 15 tickets for the day of the premiere, I decided to go with him and see whether this new film could rekindle my childhood love for Star Wars.
Crimson Peak is a sinister Victorian romance brimming with ornate elegance and Gothic grandeur. If you are able to overcome its hammier moments, there is lots of fun to be had plummeting down this macabre rabbit hole.
“Hey girlie, bring us another round, “ shouts the slightly intoxicated, plump older gentleman as he “affectionately” pats me on the thigh to set me on my way. I twist my face into what could be mistaken for a smile and briskly walk behind the counter to take my anger out on four innocent beer bottles.
Why not think of games as a bonding experience rather than a divisive one? We looked back at some of the games which allowed us to kick ass together and sort out our differences in the controlled environment of brawling arenas.
Thinking so profoundly about Halloween made me ponder another kind of fear. Not the jolly kind mentioned above, but the kind that lurks behind our backs whatever the season, that prevents us from doing all sorts of things...
