Blame It On Bianca Del Rio

Ru Paul’s Drag Race – a show that has it all. It’s like a combination of America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway, and all the talent shows around the world. Its talented Roy Haylock, who is also better known as the drag queen, comedian, actor, and costume designer, Bianca Del Rio, was the winner of season six.

Ode To Freshmanship

”Not nervous even in the slightest”, said no one during their first day. I hyperventilated whilst wandering completely lost. Told myself I am a grown, Independent Woman. Do not need to call out for the most Miraculous Saviour of them all (my mum) to survive the grand expectation constructed upon us all - to find the right hall.

I Was Wrong About...Game of Thrones

The first episode didn’t do much to dispel my assumptions of it being generic fantasy. It felt slow and full of information about bloodlines and such that I felt little investment in; not to mention names that would go in one ear and out the other. Slowly, but surely, however, I began to see the characters as more than stereotypes. Characters like Jamie, who initially appear to be almost stereotypically evil, develop in surprising ways, making you reevaluate your feelings about many of the characters. Except Joffrey. That guy is always terrible.

Worst Episode Ever is a podcast “for people who love The Simpsons, by people who love The Simpsons, about how much [the hosts] hate The Simpsons.” The idea behind the podcast is to watch a “post-classic” episode and then have an in-depth discussion about it before running it through their HIPPO grading system to place it in their list, the list being the ultimate goal of the podcast: to find the worst episode of The Simpsons ever.

I Was Wrong About...Early Mornings

I truly have always hated early mornings. I don’t feel grumpy per se, although I have been told I look like I’m ready to murder, I’m just slow to start—like an old PC. I don’t think I’ve ever woken up naturally with the sunrise. And I’ve always had a strong distaste for those inspirational morning quotes: “the morning is full of possibilities” and all that crap. The whole day is full of possibilities if you ask me. Silly morning-person propaganda, I thought.
