All in I was wrong about...
I truly have always hated early mornings. I don’t feel grumpy per se, although I have been told I look like I’m ready to murder, I’m just slow to start—like an old PC. I don’t think I’ve ever woken up naturally with the sunrise. And I’ve always had a strong distaste for those inspirational morning quotes: “the morning is full of possibilities” and all that crap. The whole day is full of possibilities if you ask me. Silly morning-person propaganda, I thought.
When it comes to one person trying to change the world, well, sure, one person alone can’t make much of a difference. But it all starts when each one person individually makes the decision to change, right?
In September, I moved from the Helsinki metropolitan area to Jyväskylä in Central Finland. To add to my normal moving angst, all kinds of small town girl nightmares were running through my mind. I mean every small town in Finland is the same, right?
We rarely see something where someone admits to being wrong. It can give insight into preconceived notions, and perhaps even lead someone else to realize they were wrong about the same thing. Here is the first edition of what will hopefully become a recurring series here in BTSB. It’s called “I Was Wrong About…”
