All in Review
The Conjuring films are, first and foremost, horror films. They are not documentaries and are not obliged to cover all of the facts even if they are “based on a true story.” Although these movies are based on supposedly real hauntings, their goal isn’t to give you both sides of the tale. Their goal is to scare the living daylights out of you and they’re really good at doing that.
Nowadays, I find myself awkwardly having to confess to people that “I’m not really a Star Wars fan…” But when a good friend of mine bought 15 tickets for the day of the premiere, I decided to go with him and see whether this new film could rekindle my childhood love for Star Wars.
Animation is a flexible medium that allows creation of dreamscapes and experimentation with images difficult to achieve in live action films, at least without a gigantic budget. Here is a list of five great animated films, each a good place to start if you've previously watched little or no anime.
