You’d be forgiven for having very low expectations for the newest version of Stephen King’s It, but you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you dismiss this film as just a lazy cash-grab capitalizing on a known property.
The Conjuring films are, first and foremost, horror films. They are not documentaries and are not obliged to cover all of the facts even if they are “based on a true story.” Although these movies are based on supposedly real hauntings, their goal isn’t to give you both sides of the tale. Their goal is to scare the living daylights out of you and they’re really good at doing that.

Filmmakers have been recently addressing the bipolar nature of F1, in which safety concerns are seemingly contrasted by drivers’ and constructors’ determinations to build the fastest car possible.
In other horror games, a lot of the fear and anxiety comes from the anticipation of a monster suddenly appearing to cut you into pieces... In PT, however, the fear of death isn’t present. Instead, you simply fear what will come next and that is an incredibly powerful sensation because you never know what that could be.
