Ethics, Clothing, and the Cash Strapped

It's obvious that the production of a seven euro pack of underwear took advantage of a series of human beings and poisoned the environment, but my budget doesn't forgive. And it only covers myself - imagine being a parent compelled to do that kind of math. When you fall under a certain income bracket, participation in corrupt systems is a necessity... What to do? Well, behaving ethically isn't all or nothing.

Over the past few weeks since my degree was finally registered and made official with the faculty, I've spent some time looking back over those years, trying to comprehend the full significance of this long trek I've taken, before it does finally reach its conclusion.

Thinking Problem

Usually when I’m drinking, it all happens naturally. There’s not a lot of thought put into it. Almost everyone around me is drinking so it’s not unusual for me to be drinking as well. When I consciously decide not to drink, however, it suddenly becomes something unusual; something that I almost have to justify.

I have managed to narrow the reason down to the most crucial factor: the awful, awful, and oh so awful Christmas music!
