Things I Told You At Midnight

Things I Told You At Midnight

When I look at you

into your eyes, which are kissed

by the goddess Aphrodite herself

I cannot help but to feel at ease

like I was dreaming

or floating with the clouds

high above everything

that would be between us

in reality

As I lay with you

watching the busy world pass on

I feel strange

like I knew you from somewhere

another lifetime, another universe

a place, where we were united

just like in this moment

our bodies pressed against each other

and I cannot help my smile

My dear

how I wish I could tell you

of all the things your words awaken

inside the walls of my soul

but I cannot speak

no words are enough to describe

the way your hands unravel my thoughts

your lips against my skin

feels like I was reborn

And when we are pushed apart

Away from each other's soft embrace

I think of your echo

the scent of your passion

has made its nest into my hair

and even if i try

I cannot wash it away

powerful are the actions, but your words

are the ones growing a home in my heart

Quos amor verus tenuit, tenebit
