Valley Lovers

Valley Lovers

On the riverbank we lay, birches around
The bliss of your eyes reflected by the light
Hues of our bodies scents mingling into one
Leather and jasmines

Sweet sweet lover, I wish for you to have me
For all the ages of my small fleeting life
And I hope I can have you for myself too
‘Till the sun turns red

The setting sun covers us in its last rays
Towards me you turn and time around stands still
With you I feel strong and whole, perhaps immune
Fear cannot have me

We kiss, the universe sings in euphony
Pomegranates join wood when our fingers touch
Forever you wish to stay in this valley
Hidden deep away

And so that is what we do for years to come
Hands clinging to each others, hearts marrying
The birches grow and the grass covers our bones
New seedlings they birth
